Our talented contractor, Billy Kirkwood, has once again downed tools and picked up the pen after work completed this weekend at the brand new Waterside Hotel
in West Kilbride.TREASURED WATERSIDE
Yesterday in a far off place known as Madagascar, treasure believed to belong to the notorious Scottish 17th Century Pirate William Kidd was discovered. This was uncovered within the sunken wreck of his flagship 'The Adventure Galley'. Today we can see another ship on the horizon looking out over the Firth of Clyde to Arran - and for everyone's piece of mind there are no Pirates in sight. However, we do have some treasure in the form of the new SimpsInns
flagship Hotel, Bar, Restaurant and Wedding Venue known as The Waterside Hotel.
I would personally like to thank all our employees and sub-contractors who have made this project possible, along with all the collaborative work that was required from the design team. More importantly it has been, as ever, a great pleasure working with Malcolm and Karen and Team SimpsInns in realising their aspirational vision for this spectacular venue. A very special thanks to my brother Robert and his 16-hour shifts, and to Gerry and Vasile, without whom it would have been very boring as I would have had no one to argue with.
As the sun sets over Arran from a room with a viewWith no chance of Captain Kidd stopping by for a reviewWe will remember all those whom have gone beforeYou never know Captain Kidd may have passed by this door.Billy KirkwoodMay 8th, 2015
